Closing out March, Functional Medicine Event Recap, April New Tingzzz

Spring has sprung 🌸

It is officially SPRING (yay!) and this is a time for renewal, resurgence & planting new seeds! We have spent all winter in rest and allowing old habits, thoughts, and things that no longer serve us to fall away.

Unfortunately (and fortunately) we are also in heavy eclipse season which is also a time for things to fall away that don’t support our highest good and a time to re-evaluate what (or who) is no longer working in our life.

As we close out March and reflect on the month of self-care, where have you given yourself more grace? Where have you established healthier habits or better boundaries? What is something you have learned about yourself this month that you can carry with you throughout the remainder of this year? Things to consider…

Introducing April’s theme: “Mind Games: Navigating the Mental & Emotional Rollercoaster of Cancer” 🎢🧠

This month, we’re diving into the real mental and emotional challenges of cancer—because it’s more than just staying “strong.” We’ll talk about the unexpected mind games that come with diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship—like survivor’s guilt, body image struggles, fear of recurrence, and the mental exhaustion of “being positive.”

Expect raw conversations, expert advice, and real talk from the community on how to process emotions, set boundaries, and build mental resilience without toxic positivity. Let’s normalize the messy, complicated side of healing. 💭💙 We will also incorporate healthy ways of processing bad days and to encourage more community.

STAY TUNED!

Integrative & Functional Medicine Approaches to Cancer Support w/ Stacy Marie (RECAP)

Last night, founder of Remedy Medicine, Stacy Marie, NP, led an event for Cancer Baddies on how functional medicine can provide additional support during and after cancer treatment.

Here are some highlights:

  • Importance of gut health - work with a functional medicine provider to get the right tests to test your gut biome. If your gut health is imbalanced, can lead to cancer or other toxicity within the body.

  • Additional therapies for support: ozone therapy, sauna, lymphatic drainage, lowering stress/cortisol, nutrition

  • Find a qualified provider in your area at IFM.org.

Stacy provides in-person and virtual services to people in Oregon, Washington and Nevada. She gave Cancer Baddies a special discount code of $50 off your first session. Use code: FUKCANCER to book at remedyfunctionalmedicine.com.
