Getting Real Real About Survivorship 💕

Only half kidding 🙃
We’ve been sharing a lot lately about the realities of survivorship because, honestly… no one really is.
And it’s kind of shocking that more spaces aren’t talking about the real reality of what “surviving cancer” actually means.
That said, Cancer Baddies isn’t just for survivors because hi 👋🏽 there are patients, thrivers, caregivers, and people in every stage of this journey here too.
What we’ve realized is that survivorship isn’t just what happens after treatment ends. It’s the entire experience of living through cancer. Diagnosis. Treatment. Surgeries. Scans. Maintenance. The aftermath. The rebuilding. The grieving. The becoming.
We are all surviving the trauma of it in different ways.
And just because treatment ends doesn’t mean everything suddenly goes back to normal. In many ways, that’s when a different kind of healing begins. You learn to live with the changes. Physically. Emotionally. Mentally. Spiritually.
So when we talk about survivorship, we mean all of it. The beginning, the middle, the “after,” and every messy in-between. Because the truth is… cancer changes you forever.
Not in a doom-and-gloom way, but in a holy sh*t, this is a lot harder to process than I expected, kind of way.
During treatment, doctors are focused on treating the cancer. But what about your heart? Your mind? Your identity? Your nervous system? Your relationships? Your confidence?
Cancer impacts every part of a person, and all of those parts deserve care too.
That’s why Cancer Baddies exists.
We’re here to support the whole person through the totality of the journey — not just one phase of it. Through our resources, retreats, support calls, workshops, and community, our goal is to help you process what’s changing, grieve what was lost, reconnect with yourself, and feel supported as you move forward.
We’re really grateful you’re here. And we hope you stick around for everything that’s coming next 🤍
