Happy April (New Theme & Events!), Tuscany Scholarship Winner, Mental Health Tips
Week of 3/31
In line with the recent astrology (Mercury retrograde) and the side effects of experiencing cancer, I have been working through the emotional tolls of relationship fall outs post-cancer.
Survivorship has been a hot topic as of late, and if you missed my recent VIDEO on what no one tells you about surviving cancer, spoiler alert…this shit is haaard.
From losing your previous identity to trying to figure out who TF you are post-treatment, losing relationships and navigating who you now align with is challenging.
No one tells you a lot of things about cancer but specifically how to navigate survivorship. It truly feels like the blind leading the blind.
This month, I want to highlight the grief we experience with cancer and a lot of the mental hurdles we must overcome on a daily basis. I want to bring in expert speakers who can help facilitate these conversations and also let US talk about it as well.
🔥 What’s coming this month:
🧠 Deep discussions on managing the unknown, stress, and grief
💙 Tools for emotional resilience & mental health support
📖 Journaling prompts to unpack the big feelings
💬 Community convos & real talks from experts and other members
You are NOT alone in this. Let’s work through the mind games together. Reply to this email and let me know—what’s the biggest mental hurdle you’ve faced during or after cancer?
XO, Amanda

Meet Mataya Dade
We’re so excited to offer Mataya Dade @matayadade the @solvwellnessllc scholarship to attend our women’s wellness retreat in Tuscany, Italy! 🎉🇮🇹💚
Mataya was 30 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer and she went through extensive treatment for the last few years.
Since surviving, Mataya is in the process of producing her podcast, ‘You Survived! Now What?’, which aims to provide relatable support, information, and community to AYA cancer survivors and co-survivors.
She is also in the process of establishing a non-profit called, ‘The Thrive Fund,’ with the aim of providing cancer patients and survivors with a higher level of care than typically covered by insurance.
Mataya says, “I’m learning that my identity is expanding, and I have the capacity to be more than I thought I was. I’m more than a cancer survivor. I’m a dancer, I’m an artist, I’m an entrepreneur, I’m an activist. I’m dedicated to living my purpose now more than ever, and my purpose involves helping others who’ve experienced this madness.”
Congrats, Mataya ✨Thank you Solv Wellness for sponsoring this scholarship!!!
Thank you to all applicants and those who shared their story with us. We hope to be able to continue to offer more opportunities to other cancer survivors in the future.
🧘🏽♀️ COPING STRATEGY OF THE WEEK
Box Breathing
A simple technique to calm your mind and body in just a few minutes:
🌀 Inhale for 4, Hold for 4, Exhale for 4, Hold for 4 🌀
Repeat this 4-5 times to melt the stress away. For deeper relaxation, exhale for 6-8 seconds.
✍🏼 JOURNAL PROMPT OF THE WEEK
