How to Enjoy the Journey and not Just the Destination 🦋

It's okay to not have it all together

It’s not always about the destination, enjoy the journey

I’ve been sitting a lot with the idea of rushing towards our destinations.

Rushing through treatment to get to survivorship.

Rushing through traffic to get home.

Rushing through cooking dinner to get to rest.

Rushing through our morning routine to get to work.

Rushing through healing to get to the other side.

We spend so much of our life moving from one destination to the next thinking that once we land, life opens up.

While in the rushing, we forget that this is actually our life.

We spend so much time wishing, hoping, waiting for life to begin or for the perfect opportunity to start. What we fail to remember is that the greater parts of our life are made up of those tiny in-between moments.

The morning routine that sets us up for our day, the opportunity of presence as we sit in hour long traffic, the moment of pause while cooking dinner after a long day. Life isn’t about getting to the peak. It’s about the journey there.

I’m writing this message to you as I’m saying this message out loud to myself.

It’s okay to not have it all figured out. It’s okay to be in the in-between. It’s okay to be healing and not fully healed. It’s okay to be building and not have everything built.

Our purpose on life is to learn the lessons we came to Earth to learn. To make the mistakes and then figure it out. To understand what it takes to build something from the ground up. And to let ourselves be broken down and be completely rebuilt again.

You truly are exactly where you’re meant to be.

Cancer is our teacher and is here to remind us who we are meant to be in this life. It’s here to take away the things that aren’t working and force us to get clear on what is. You aren’t meant to make those same mistakes again so make sure the life you are living post-survival is a new, 2.0 upgraded version of your past life.

For those of you who have made it to survival but aren’t sure who you are, where you’re going or how to feel free from your past, I’ve created the perfect workshop.

Hotter After Cancer is a workshop is for anyone who feels like everything has changed — your body, your mindset, your life — and you’re ready to stop trying to “go back” and start creating who you’re becoming.

Workshop #1: Reinventing Yourself After Survival

Inside, we’ll cover:

  • The identity shift after cancer (and why it feels so confusing)

  • Letting go of your “old self” and what no longer fits

  • Rebuilding confidence in your body and your life

  • Getting clear on your next chapter

The Hotter After Cancer workshop series will continue to expand into more topics, experiences, and brand partnerships — all designed to elevate the survivorship journey in a deeper, more modern way.

Let’s enjoy the journey together.
