How to Protect Your Peace this Holiday SZN 🦃🎄
6 Tips for Prioritizing Self-Care, Share your Cancer Story, Black Friday Cancer Deals!
The Holidays are Upon us ❤️

Emerging from my cancer cave to see family for the annual holiday gatherings
‘Tis the season for some of the best things in life: family, friends, loved ones, food, rest and gifts! Although there is a lot to celebrate just by being alive, the holidays can also be a struggle for a lot of us.
In honor of celebrating Thanksgiving (in North America) next week, we are re-releasing our holiday newsletter from last year!
Whether you’re on your cancer journey or it’s a little behind you, it’s important to take care of yourself, your needs, and your emotional health this season.
The holidays seem to bring up a lot for us, especially if you’re affected by cancer. Rather than push our emotions aside, try to dive deeper into what is coming up and set boundaries for yourself so holidays feel a bit safer.
If the holidays are also a stressful time for you, here are ways you can prioritize self-care:
1. Set Boundaries
⭐️ Let family members know about your energy levels, dietary restrictions, or emotional boundaries ahead of time.
⭐️ Schedule downtime between gatherings to recharge physically and mentally.
2. Ask for Help
⭐️ If you're hosting or participating, ask for help with cooking, decorating, or wrapping gifts.
⭐️ Let loved ones assist with errands or tasks you find overwhelming.
3. Protect your Emotional Health
⭐️ Spend time with people who uplift you and limit interactions with those who drain your energy.
4. Prioritize Nutrition + Physical Health
⭐️ Stick to foods that make you feel good and avoid overindulging in things that might upset your system.
⭐️ Incorporate light exercises, such as yoga or walking, to stay active and boost energy.
5. Manage Expectations
⭐️ Make a realistic schedule that accounts for your health and energy. It’s okay to say no.
6. Gratitude for how Far you Have Come
⭐️ Take a moment to reflect back on this past year and how far you have come since January. If you’re in treatment remind yourself that it is all temporary and each day gets you one day closer to being your healthiest, brightest, most cancer-free self.
