Lessons from a Cancer Survivor's Ski Trip ⛷️

Send It Foundation, BINGO last week, Surprise announcement!

I’m currently on a Send It Foundation ski trip in Tahoe on my last day with other cancer survivors from around the country. All individuals who have experienced or are currently experiencing cancer.

This week has reminded me how resilience isn’t just about getting through treatment—it’s about finding joy, adventure, and confidence in the life that comes after. People who have experienced the most adversity and toughest battles decided to pick themselves up again and chose to face new challenges head on.

Life is all about stepping outside our comfort zones—whether that’s hitting the slopes, trying something new, or simply embracing the next chapter after cancer.

As we near the end of our self-care month, how can we reflect on the spaces we’ve created for ourselves; the new habits, slow time and moments of reflections. I’m reflecting on how pushing past fear (even if it means wiping out on the slopes!) can help us reclaim our bodies, minds, and spirits.

If you’re interested in joining a free Send It excursion, apply directly on their website!

Meet Stacy Marie, NP – Your Guide to Integrative & Functional Medicine!

Stacy Marie Ronquillo, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, IFMCP, is a double board-certified nurse practitioner and the founder of Remedy Functional Medicine, where she helps patients take control of their health through a root-cause, whole-body approach.

With nearly two decades of experience in emergency medicine, Stacy specializes in metabolic health, hormone optimization, and chronic disease management. Her passion for integrative care was deeply shaped by her personal experience helping her father navigate stage 4 cancer, which opened her eyes to the power of blending functional medicine with conventional oncology care.

In this talk, she’ll explore how metabolic health, gut health, inflammation, and nutrition play a crucial role in supporting the body during cancer treatment.

Join Stacy to learn how a functional medicine approach can complement traditional cancer care, improve resilience, and optimize healing from the inside out.
