Navigating the New Year...

...when the new year isn't what you expected

Finding Strength Together 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

As we step into the new year, many of us are grappling with more than just resolutions. The devastation caused by the LA fires is a heavy reminder of life’s unpredictability and the resilience required to navigate these moments. To those directly impacted, our hearts go out to you—we stand with you in support and solidarity.

Tomorrow night, I’ll be hosting the Navigating the New Year event, and I’d like to dedicate this gathering to finding strength, hope, and connection during difficult times. Whether you’re facing the aftermath of the fires, your cancer journey, or other challenges, this event is a space for reflection, healing, and empowerment.

When: Monday January 13, 5-6pm PST

Where: Cancer Baddies Platform

*If you are a current patient in need of financial assistance or have been affected by the fires, please reply to this email and I will send you a discount + extended free trial.

What to Expect

✨ A Moment of Reflection – Acknowledge the challenges we’ve faced and find inspiration in our collective resilience.
✨ Navigating Uncertainty – Explore strategies to regain control and purpose amidst chaos.
✨ Community Connection – Share, listen, and support one another in a safe, empowering space.

At Cancer Baddies, we believe in the power of community to lift each other up—through fires, illness, and life’s many hurdles. Together, we can begin the year grounded in hope and strength.

If you’re looking for ways to support those impacted by the fires, I’ve included resources at the end of this email. Let’s show up for one another in every way possible.

Don’t miss this opportunity to connect, reflect, and find renewed purpose. I hope to see you there.

With love and strength,
Amanda

P.S. Please feel free to invite anyone who might benefit from this event—they’re always welcome.

LA Fires: We Need Your Help

Our very own Cancer Baddie, Emily Garza, had to quickly evacuate the Eaton fires and sadly her family was affected. Her cousin + family lost his home as well as another family friend who lost everything. They started GoFundMe’s to raise money to help them get back on their feet. If you can help, they would greatly appreciate it ❤️‍🩹

GoFundMes With Less Than 30% of Their Goal: direct support for families in need

Los Angeles Fire Department: helps support the fire department risking their lives

California Fire Foundation: provides assistance to victims

Baby2Baby: providing emergency supplies to families and children affected by the fires

Pasadena Humane Shelter: there have been hundreds of displaced animals and pets, not including wildlife that is being brought into the shelter. They need medical supplies and equipment to support their efforts

LA Equestrian Center: taking in a ton of displaced horses and animals each day and are in need of supplies and food to provide (I volunteered here yesterday and it was heartbreaking to see all the people who had lost their homes care for their animals).
