NEW June Theme + Event and our Retreat Recap!

Happy Summer ☀️

Happy June (& Summer)!

Warm weather, tan lines, vacation….my favorite time of the year is here! We’re kicking off this month with a new theme - The Power of Community & Connection ✨

What does community mean to you? Where do you need support and where can you offer more support to others? I love sharing and connecting with other like-minded individuals, especially within this community. But the importance of community means showing up. It’s easy to be a bystander where it is safe on the sidelines, but are you actually part of the greater collective? This month I encourage you to show up for yourself and others.

Maybe this month you choose to deepen your connection with 1 other member. Who is someone you can relate to and lean on for support during your tougher days? I also encourage you to attend our monthly zoom call on Wed June 25 at 5:30pm PST where we connect with our global members!

Also, please join our Cancer Baddies platform where you can access live conversations with other cancer patients and survivors, resources, and virtual events! Use this link for a free 14-day trial!

May was filled with a lot of to-do’s and one of our biggest events, our first international retreat in Tuscany! We had 11 amazing women (6 Cancer Baddie’s) attend and man, was it transformational. We moved, we deepened our connection to self and others, we worked through some real sticky stuff but we also PLAYED, ate, drank and frolicked through the hills of Italy!

Renee, Gabi, Mataya, Amanda, Kathy & Caitlyn!

This was a MAJOR reminder that this is what life is about. Sharing, building relationships, exploring life, laughing, playing, and even crying together. The stronger the collective, the stronger the individual.

Mornings were filled with movement and self/group work, afternoons we explored Tuscany and had daily activities like a winery tour, cooking class, Val D’Orcia tour, thermal baths + spa day, and in the evenings we ate (A LOT) of food!

If you are interested in attending a future retreat, add your email HERE 🙂

🗓 UPCOMING EVENTS 🗓

🌟WED JUNE 18 - 5 PM PST: Grief Beyond Survival with Stacey Cook @expansionwithstacey

FREE EVENT

This reflective, conversation-based workshop is rooted in the understanding that grief doesn’t end with treatment, healing, or survivorship—it changes. And with that change, it can become harder to talk about, harder to feel held, and harder to know why.

Together, we’ll explore why it’s so difficult for others to hold space for grief—especially when it’s ongoing, complex, or invisible. Through that lens, we’ll gently shift the focus inward: how can we become more supportive within this community, and how can that clarity help us better identify what we’re seeking ourselves?

What You Can Expect

• The 3 most common barriers that keep people from holding space

• A deeper understanding of what grief really needs to be seen and supported

• What to say (and not say) when someone is hurting

• The “3 Knows” to help you show up with presence instead of pressure

• Greater clarity on the importance of “safe people” and how to identify them

Stacey Cook is an ICF-certified coach, mentor, and founder of Expansion with Stacey, where she offers highly individualized coaching to support people through the changes that matter. As a faculty member at Coaching at End of Life, she trains aspiring life, grief, and end-of-life coaches to show up with presence, compassion, and care. Her deep understanding of grief and it’s need for a safe place is shaped by both lived experience and years of walking beside others through life’s most tender moments. Stacey’s mission is to help more people get comfortable with the uncomfortable so they can truly be with themselves—and each other—when it’s most important.
